Hi All,
Please help understand my problem,
On system A (SAP ECC 6.0) I'm defining RFC to establish SLD connection with SAP PI
First I've created there new RFC LCRSAPRFC (TCP/IP)
So: Program ID (Registered Program Server): LCRSAPRFC_PID
Gateway host: <IP address> (I've provided here SAP PI IP because I got error when I provided the name)
Gateway service: sapgw10 (in my case instance is 10, SMGW in SAP PI told me that, I was checking also 3310, 3210)
but anyway I got error:
ERROR: SAP gateway connection failed. Is SAP gateway started?
Please advice
Regards,
Tomasz
Hi Tomasz,
Question, were you able to do an sld bridge successfully to the PI system? You can do this via tcode RZ70. If successful, it should register the technical system of your ECC into the PI SLD. After registering it, do the LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI connection.

Mark

Mark,
I've found few minutes ago this RZ70 tcd, and now I have message from You
I think, I have also problem with RFC connection in general, there are two sap routers between SAP ECC and SAP PI (I got this message just now from admin)
In RZ70 I have different Host name and Gateway no. than information retrieved from SMGW/SM51 in PI system, but I'm waiting for confirmation from admin if it is ok.
Thank You Mark
Hello,
RFC is working afrer adding some sap router strings,
but I have not configured RZ70 (the settings there are different than in RFC settings, I mean host and service are different that host, service gateway in RFC is it ok? because RFC is working)
how to validate if everything is ok, connection with sld is estatblished?
Thanks for help

Hi Tomasz,
Have you created a corresponding Jco RFC Provider in the PI NWA for your program ID? If not, please create and make sure it is running. Then perform connection test again.
Go to SOA Management -> Technical Configuration -> Jco Provider.
Kind Regards,
Jenny

I believe, I' ve created correctly it here:
http://<host>:<hport>/nwa > Configuration > Infrastructure > JCo RFC provider

Hi Tomasz,
Is LCRSAPRFC_PID registered as a JCO user in NWA?

Hi Mark,
http://<host>:<hport>/nwa > Configuration > Infrastructure > JCo RFC provider
here I have defined:
LCRSAPRFC_PID | ||
AI_RUNTIME_PID | ||
SAPSLDAPI_PID | ||
AI_VALIDATION_PID |

Tomek
