Hello experts,
We are facing little space issues in accelerator files. Our basis team has pointed that accelerator files are occupying more space and its affecting the server also making them to go down.. Is it advisable to delete those accelerator files. What will be the impact if we delete it?
Thanks
Vinoth
Hi Vinoth,
Accelerator file is used to accelerate the repository loading process, when the repository is loaded immediately, the data representation and indices are read from accelerator file if it exists.when the repository is loaded with update indices, it rebuild index files and index the data stored in DB,the result is flushed in the accelerator file.so as for your problem, you can shut down your MDM Server, delete all the accelerator files and then start MDM Server, load all the repositories with update indices.
hope it helps you.
best regards
Stephen

Hi Vinoth,
Try recreating the accelerator files by loading the repository using Update Indices and recheck if the problem persists.
Also, please refer to SAP note 1567211 and check if it applies in your scenario.
Thanks,
Ravi
