ECC6ehp7 IDES post installation

Hi,

I am trying to find a proper steps to do post installation steps for my IDES installation.

Details are:

SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp7 on MSSQL Server 2012 on Windows Server 2012.

I have completed the installation with minor hiccups, but now I stumbled upon

SAP_BASIS_SETUP_INITIAL_CONFIG in STC01 and LVM and PCAI all these and was so intrested in these

but sadly I need a enterprise License for the LVM and not the standard .. so my question is is there a standard post-installation steps ?

I am also unable to find any guide specific to SQL Server Ehp7 fresh installation and not upgrade, also I am aware that the IDES and non-IDES system the installation guide is the same. Can someone please either point me to the right direction or provide me with the proper post installation steps, tks.

Hi Jack,

For an SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7, post installation steps remains the same like other ECC systems

- delete existing TMS using SE06

- Re-configure TMS with virtual system

- Apply license

- import new profiles using RZ10

- Adjust profile parameters and configure work processes

- Configure backup if necessary

- Create users in default client 800

- Execute SGEN

I am not able to find in any guide that specifically says what Deepak says, tks.

The reason I am asking the specific guide is i am creating a small training session for junior basis guys in my company.

The ones mentioned above are based on personal experiences.

For a standard SAP system installation I can add tasks like SLD configuration, Solution Manager plug.

The most important thing you need to follow is the post installation activities mentioned in the installation guide provided by SAP.

Newer SAP guides does not include standard post installation steps.

You can refer section 6: Post installation from the below SAP guide for reference

It contains the post installation activities and valid for platform 7.4.

Hi Jack,

You should check SAP Service market place for guides. If you will Release and Upgrade Info -- Install and Upgrade Guides -- you will get all guides for ECC under SAP Business Suites Applications.

Post installation is all most the same for all ABAP systems.

Point here is, if you are talking about customizing, then you have to check help.sap for manuals.
