Hi Basis Expert,
We are soon planning to do EHP2 upgrade in our Production SRM system
The OS is AIX & Database is DB2.
During configuration phase we would have to optmise the upgrade by giving the values of batch process(uptime/downtime), sql process (uptime/downtime) etc so that our preprocessing phase & downtime will be faster. Here we are using SUM tool and going with downtime minimised.
So i would like to know the inputs(values) for below Processes
Batch Processes - Uptime - , Downtime -
SQL Process Uptime - , Downtime -
R3trans Process - Uptime - , Downtime -
R3Load Process - Uptime - , Downtime -
Parallel phase - Uptime - , Downtime -
I am aware that these values will basically depend on the memory/CPU & the batch workprocess
Here is our SRM PRD system configuration
Memory Real, MB - 24575 (24 GB)
PAGING SPACE Size , MB - 67456 (65 GB)
No of CPU - 4
Appreciate your help
Regards,
Anil
It is very simple. Just read this SAP note.

I can give you few hints.
Consider Cores per CPU
Consider only Main memory.
Up time processes are almost half than downtime.
AIX user limits
