I am getting the error below and have no clue where to start looking for a solution.  Can anybody assist please?

Are you trying to consume webi blocks published as web service with QaaWS connection ?

If yes, check in CMC if the user has access to the web service or not.

Thank you for coming to my rescue.

In the dashboard I set up a connection to a Webi report. In the Login and password I refer to a cell on the Dashboard.

In the spreadsheet I hard code the BW Role as the BO authentication is SAP BW.

The BW user is created and inserted in the cells.  I think the BW user has the wrong authorizations.  If I use my user I do not get the error, but I have developer rights.

Do you perhaps have specific roles or rights that must be given to this role.

Hi Wessel,

If you have the roles defined at BW have you imported it to BO.

Go to CMC -> Authentication -> SAP -> Role Import

Check if you have imported the BW role here.
