Technical background of SC to PO conversion?

Hi Experts,

We implemented SRM7 on ECS, appl.controlled WF. Once SC is fully approved, how does SC workflow end and what executes SETRELASED method then what calls for the relevant PO creation FMs and BAdi?

I would like to know how does the system manage this chain of events technically?
