Hi Experts,
I am new to MDG. I have assigned the role to my user "SAP_MDGM_DISP". PFA the screen shot.
Even After Assigning I am getting the error as 'The user menu tree for user "XXX" is empty. Please contact your system administrator.' PFA the screen Shot.
Kindly help me.Thanks in advance.

Hi Piyas, In your user profile (SU01) double click on the roles. This will open a new session providing the details of the role. This is the TA- PFCG. Here you can maintain the authorization profile by selecting the authorization tab and click in authorization display. Regards, Reema

Hi Piyas, Could you please explain, what you are trying to do here. You need to use the SAP_MDGF_MENU roles for all the activity. For the issue with SAP_MDGF_DISP, please check the note https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sno/ui_entry/entry.htm?param=69765F6D6F6465... You can still contact IT for the same. Hi Piyas,
Please simply find 'Runtime filter'
In order for you to make specific role visible in NWBC,
go to t-code 'PFCG' > Menu tab > click 'menu options' > uncheck 'Hide menu from NWBC'
* Hide Menu from NWBC
Specifies that this role is not made visible in the menu of the SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC).

Hi Piyas,
Please find the explanation on roles below:
There are following roles in MDG-
SAP_MDGF_DISP
SAP_MDGF_MENU
SAP_MDGF_MENU_03( for the release 6.1)
SAP_MDGF_SPEC
SAP_MDGF_STEW
SAP_MDGF_REQ
Simply for other domains also.
The menu role is the one which is to be used. Other roles are the one which limits the authorization.
If user is to be given only display authorization he should have only SAP_MDGF_DISP, SAP_MDGF_MENU these roles.
Master data Steward is the one who maintains edition: hence the role assigned here should be SAP_MDGF_STEW and SAP_MDGF_MENU.
Requestor: will be able to create the change request hence the roles assigned should be SAP_MDGF_REQ and SAP_MDGF_MENU
Specialist: will be able to process the change request SAP_MDGF_SPEC and SAP_MDGF_MENU roles needed to be assigned.
For your user if you want to perfom all the activities, you need to assign all the roles along with the menu roles.

Reema
Hi there,
thanks to naveenkgv for provide this solution.
Please note, that in my SAP GUI 🙂 the tab "Copy Menus" appears as "From Menus". Seriously speaking: this might be a little change due to Release level.
After select "Local" a popup appear in which I had to chose which folder from the menu I want to copy and than confirm. I select all possibly entries.
