Blank screen, no employees displayed under service Assessments in Talent Management.

Hi Friends,

We are on EHP7. We have implemented objective setting appraisal for our client; in netweaver portal. 

We have created an appraisal template under category group "Personnel appraisals". We have configured the VA, VB, VC, Column ids.  Status tab flow is used from In preparation - Completed.

The enhancements are used to accommodate customer specific calculations for the scores based on the final ratings.


An additional requirement from the client is; once the appraisal process is over for a team; the team manager should be able to see the scores of his direct reportees in the MSS.


1) He should be given a provision to modify the final rating score; incase if he finds that one of the team members deserve a better score in line with the comparison of other team members. He should be able to call the template and be able to revise the final ratings from his MSS directly.


2) When he modifies the final ratings by calling the appraisal template on the MSS; that new score should be stored in the appraisal template (database tables); that is; this should overwrite the final scores which was initially calculated during the final appraisal discussion between the apprasier and appraisee. This new values should be taken for all reporting or new compensation revision process.


Should this requirement be addressed by Assessment of Employees and Calibration Process for Employee Assessments standard configurations? Used this thread for reference


If that is the option; I have already done these settings for employee assessment by flexible performance appraisal.


But in the MSS > under Talent Management > Assessment

We are getting a blank screen in the "In process & Completed " tabs. No employee is listed.

The calibration grid is empty. But under under talent profile; we are able to see the names of the team members.


Is full implementation of talent management a pre-requisite for employee assessment by Managers ?

Hi Earnest,

yes if you want to use Talent Management / Talent assessment service for the manager you have to perform all customizing steps for talent assessment. The Talent assessment service is a webdynpro application which is based on different phap templates (depends on your customizing e.g. talent pool, competency assessment.....). But you are not able to modify these templates according your customers needs.

The data is transferred from talent assessment templates to infotype 7408 and 7409.

If you display talent assessment data from the templates are displayed.

If you display talent profile data from infotypes are displayed.

If you plan to use a custom template instead of standard talent assessment you have to transfer data to the info types with a BadI.
