Hi,

I am trying to perform system refresh

My landscape is like this

I am using Oracle on AIX 6.1 and SAP installed on Windows Server 2003, so yes it is a distributed setup.

My SAP is ECC 6.0 sr3 NO EHP has been applied so far.

Kernel level is 720

Sup.Pkg is 500

Oracle is 11.2.0.3

I have downloaded the latest SWPM which is this file

70SWPM10SP06_3-20009697.sar for AIX OS

and I am trying to execute it using reflection x and it simply says cannot execute and nothing else.

What am I missing?

I have previously perfomed the same to do hetrogenous copy just a couple of months back and it opened up with out any problem.

Hi Jack,

Since you are running this from PUTTY, you make have to use X-TERM services for getting the gui.

Also, check for the permissions on sapinst. make it 777.

Hi Jack,

Refer:

Now, system refresh is just like system copy, where the target system already exist.

Have a look at this thread. Hope that will be a starting point to help you understand the process.

Perhaps, you must be following some strategy to do a system refresh. Ask that guy for some documents and method used.

Yes, you can get guide from SMP for your OS and DB for system copy.

Hi,

If possible try to use x-manager for the execution instead of putty.

Hi Jack,

Could you try to execute the SWPM without using reflection x and share the result again.

Hi Jack,

Can you change the shell from ksh to csh and then try executing sapinst.
