Hi all,
To migrate the perating system (redhat linux 4.5 to 6.x) and database (Oracle 10.2.0.2 to 11g), what are the possible scenarios and considerations to be taken to achieve the migration?
knowing that:
1 - the version of SAP System Landscape SAP ECC is 6.0 NUC with the following levels of SP:
SAP_BASIS 700 0011 SAPKB70011
SAP_ABA 700 0011 SAPKA70011
ST-PI 0005 2005_1_700 SAPKITLQI5
PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 0001 SAPKIPYM01
SAP_BW 700 0012 SAPKW70012
SAP_AP 700 0008 SAPKNA7008
SAP_APPL 600 0009 SAPKH60009
SAP_HR 600 0018 SAPKE60018
SAP Kernel version is 150
2 - The second landscape used and connected to SAP ECC 6.0 is SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0 (ABAP / JAVA).
Thank you in advance.
Hello,
What about the sp and oracle versions?

Hello
First check PAM for supported combination.
First upgrade the OS to RHEL 6.
You need to also make sure all the required Linux RPMS are installed for the 11G installation.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24321/pre_install.htm#LADBI1085
Once the OS has been upgraded upgrade the Oracle database to 11G.
To upgrade the database to 11G refer this upgrade guide.

The OS migration can be done in place: (redhat linux 4.5 to 6.x)?
Upgrading from a previous Red Hat Enterprise Linux release to RHEL 6
Red Hat does not support in-place upgrades from one major RHEL release (e.g. RHEL 5) to RHEL6 (see https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/solutions/21964). The only supported option to upgrade from an older RHEL release to RHEL 6 is to backup all data on the system, install and configure RHEL 6 on the server and then reinstall the applications and restore the data from backup.
