REFX Sales Scenarios

Dear Friends, We are starting REFX implementation for our company, before we start this, we would like to discuss few scenarios and its most standard solution. I would really appreciate for your help.

Scenario 1: We will be having a building/tower as a Asset Under Construction(AUC) in using SAP PS. The AUS has only WBS elements created to capture the cost/milestone.

While the project is still under AUC, our business is looking for following scenarios to be implemented.

a. Some of the unites of this AUC should be marked for Rent

b. Some of the units of this AUC should be marked for Sale.

Question: Please help how do we break the AUC to

1. The unites to be rented as Investment Property

2. The units to be sold as Inventory.

Really appreciate if you could also put some light on master data for both sales and leasing using REFX, which is best suited process to be adopted for sales. We are on SAP ECC6. with EHP5.

Hi Mansoor,

within RE-FX you have to create your master datastructure. Building/Building part/ Apparment/ Room  or so;  very flexible. Each RE REntal object can be connencted to a WBS object or/and as well to an SAP asset.

The object to be sold can be created under the same RE-FX structure as well, or under RE-FX separat. For selling them you have to us a special RE contact type (Sales Contract). I would not recommend to use here (for sellinfg) SAP SD.
