SSO from BOBI to BPC/EPM reports

BPC/EPM reports are published to BOBI 4.1 thru the EPM Connection Manager plug-in. Now we would like to host the BPC/EPM reports on the

SAP Enterprise Portal and utilized single sign on(SSO) to open the BPC/EPM reports. How is the SSO setup?

For portal you can use SPNEGO login modules. The user will logon to their workstation using AD credentials, and when they access the URL on portal they will be authenticated without seeing a Sign-On screen.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

Thanks for replying.  Your suggestion seems to address sso between workstation and Portal but I am looking for BI Launchpad to BPC/EPM.

To be more specific, we have published BPC/EPM reports to BI Launchpad and use the CUID of the report to launch the report from SAP Enterprise Portal. After launching, Excel opens and ask to login to a EPM connection.  We are hoping to use SSO to bypass this login step, so that the report opens directly and already connected. Has anybody done this before?

Thanks,

Shun

For EPM Add-in SSO (from excel etc.) you need to buy a product, since BPC is running on NetWeaver ABAP.

Yes, I have done what you have asked many times.

Hi Tim,

Can you provide documents/links on what product is needed and how to set this up.

Thank you,

You can search in SAP Store (http://store.sap.com) for appropriate keywords, e.g. 'single sign-on'

Hi Tim,

Yes, that is the document we tried first but that is using ABAP Web Application Server and opens the EPM tool not the report. We are going from BI Launch pad to BPC/EPM and opening the report directly.  But, need to get SSO working.

Thanks,

Shun
