BOM Explosion

Hi Friends,

I need to prepare a universal BOM and the scenario is for Sales Order we need to explode the BOM, however the characteristics and values need to different from the Production BOM.

In simple words, I need all variants in Production order but not in sales order. Please guide how can I achieve this.

Vandy Anna,

for a configurable material you need to assign value for configuration pop-up at the time of sales order creation so yopu need to take care of assigning values for both sales as well as production BOM.

IT may possible you assign only values relevenat for saales BOM and production BOM values got generated by translating sales order values either by using object dependencies or by variant table.

If you could have post a example supporting your desired result it would be lil easy to suggest some thing.
