Word template - Read only

Hello Experts,

We are working with word template and the values are getting populated thru the BADI. But if we assign some manual content,in the letter/correspondence we cannot save the document attached to the business transaction.

Can you guide us, how can we make the correspondence editable?

What version of SAP CRM?  Word templates behavior much differently between versions.  I assume you are using "Create with Template" to generate the word document?

Hello Experts,

Just to provide an update. I'm able to do the check out in the advanced options of the assignment block "Attachments", but after make the changes in the document I'm not able to save to check in again.

Any ideas?
