Dear Experts,
Am preparing new Trainsing Server copy of existing Quality system. While doing an Import am getting the below screen
* Normally which option needs to be enabled, And let me know what is the difference between these 2 options?
*What will happen If click "Start Migration Monitor Manually" ?
Thanks in advance

Dheen AJ
Have you read the system copy guide ?
The first option is used when you are doing a system copy using the export dump taken from another system.
The second option is when you restoring the database using DB specific backup and restore.

Thanks Divyanshu Srivastava for your quick reply.
I have taken the Source system export by the following options
System Copy --> Source System --> Central System --> Based on AS ABAP --> DB Instance Export.
My requirement is
Source system ( Existing System ) - ECC Quality
OS:Windows 2008
DB:Oracle
Target System ( To be built for tarining purpose , Copy of existing ECC Quality system) - ECC Training
OS:Windows 2008
DB:Oracle
Please find the below activities done by me in the sequence
1) Taken the ECC Quality system back-up
2) I ran SAPinst and exported the DB Instance export dump by the following way
System Copy --> Source System --> Central System --> Based on AS ABAP --> DB Instance Export.
3) Moved to the export dump into the Target system which is fgoing to be built
4) Insatlled the Fresh Oracle db in the new system ( Target System - ECC Training )
5)Ran the SAPinst and click System Copy --> Target System --> Based on AS ABAP --> DB Instance Installation.
While continuing these steps, It was asked to choose the follwoing options
(O) Standard System Copy
(O) Homogeneous System Copy
Thanks in advance, Please correct me if the steps are followed correctly

Anvardheen J
Hello
If you have taken the export of the ABAP database and if you have the dump then you need to select the "Standard system copy" and provide the dump location.
If you select the "Homogeneous system copy" then sapinst will ask you to restore the database from the backup taken before.

It depends on what you want in the database and how you want to get it.
If you want the data of another system using system copy then you have two options:
1 - Take export of the source system and import the exported dump to the target system. Here R3load will be used for export and import.
2 - Back and Restore. Here you will restore the database backup of the source system to the target system. You use database specific tools for the restore process.

Hi
You need select 1st option in your case. since you are doing system copy with import option.
The second option is used in backup restore/method.

Hi AJ,
Method means either you can used SAP tools like R3load/Jload or database backup/restore method.
With MIgmon you can use advance cinrol of R3load export/import process and parallel unload/load.
Refer: help and service market place for system copy guides.
