EP Portal 7.4 Web Page Composer Web Content Browser "Select" button missing

Hallo Guys

We rencently upgraded our EP Portal from NW7.31 to NW7.40 SP6

After the upgrade, the option to select portal content when browsing went missing. There used to be a button "SELECT" right next to the file. (Clicking on the file opens the document, it does not insert the link)

Reproduce the error:

1. Create/Open WPC content (e.g. Teaser, Linklist etc.)

    Go to: Area Management -> Content Library

    OR

2. For any of the Links, browse for the content on the portal

   

3. Try to select the file from the web content browser

  

Any ideas on how to get that button back?

1. Have you check the same option in different browser ?

2. Check this SAP Note 1940625 - 'New Session' and 'Select' buttons are missing

It looks very helpful. I've tried both notes. I'm unable to complete the steps. The notes are for NW7.0. We are on NW7.4. I get about half way in both of them and then I get stuck, the options are not there in 7.4.

have you enabled the advanced options? does the defaulttrace show anything?

Enabling the advanced options made it possible to follow all the steps in the note Sriram suggested.
