MDM - Modification of existing named search

Hi Experts,

I would like to request your help about a topic I have to deal with.

We are working on an exisitng MDM solution.

On that solution there are some exisitng named search existing .

We have to modify these named search to add some more filters.

For example existing named search NS_1 has filters on 2 differents fields.

I have to add a restriction on 1 other fields.

To have atthe end the NS_1 having filters on 3 fields.

My concern is, to do that,

have we to re-appl the existing filters, then add our new filter ansd then save the named search.

If we do not reapply exsiting filters, these will be lost (am I right here.. ?)

If this is the case,

is there a way to add the new filters in different way ? So that we do not have to re-apply exisiting changes ??

Thanks for your help.

Hi S.N,

Whenever you want to add a new filter to the already existing Named Search, it get overwritten.

But I don't really understand what your concern here is. For E.g, you have filter on Fields Language and Country and the filter has 6000 records and if u add filter on a field (E.g) category the number of records will get reduced according to the filter. You can either overwrite the filter to already existing Named Search or create a new one as per the requirement.

However from your query I understand that it has to be added to the already existing one. Overwriting this will cause no harm, unless you want the Named search to be existing.

Did this clear your query?
