Hosting a Webi report in PDF into a share point using BO Publication

Hi All,

I have developed a Publication in BI Launch pad.

Now i have to host the output file (generated from this publictiion in PDF) into a share point document library.

his share point document library has the URL:- "http://servername.domain.org/DEV/teams/Projects".

After i schedule the publication from BI Launch pad(It runs once in a week.).the defined output file (PDF) should be directed to be placed in the above share point document library. so when i open the above Share point URL from a Browser i should see the PDF in the above share point location.

So can some body help me how do i need to configure my publication such away that the above scheduling runs successfully without any manual process and the PDF gets hosted to the share point document library.

Hence tell me the step by step process how to achieve this in BI Launch pad.

Thanking you in advance,

Warm Regards,

Naga Nanda Kishore.

Hi Nanda,

Go to publication properties ,

Click Format , select Adobe Acrobat (PDF)

Click Destinations , select File System .

You need to have a user who has access rights to the location .

in Directory : Specify path from where the URL reads file.

Hi Satish,

Thank you very much for your response.

From the above details,i understood that we cann't provide the direct URL as is in the directory field. Please correct me if i am wrong.

So instead of the URL i need to give a shared directory path

(for e.g: //<IPAddress>/<folder1>/<folder2>.).

So kindly let me know whether my understanding is correct.if not let me know the exact process in this regard.

Thanking you in advance,

Regards,

Naga Nanda Kishore.

Yes Nanda,

You are going to save PDF in a directory ,from where your share point URL can access.
