Hi Ravi,

As suggested by Naveen, please check the i/p payload for that file. if it is empty that is the reason for empty file at the target side.

Use option Skip empty files in file sender communication channel.

Hi Ravi,

If i correctly understood your problem, your first file reached target with  bytes which should not process?

if that is the case in your sender channel there is an option to skip empty files.

Thanks,

Naveen

Hi Naveen,

Thanks  for Reply,

The changes are done already what you have said.

The problem is In the Day the first file is only reached to target system with 0 bytes

after that all files are Successfully processed.
the first file is showing in achieve folder with file size

but in Target folder it is showing 0 bytes file size.

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Did you set the parameter " Msecs to Wait Before Modification Check" in sender file communication channel? if not please set. the adapter will wait for the specified time and check whether the file changed or not.

sometimes before completing writing the files PI will pick the files which causes mapping run time exception because of in-complete files and sometimes empty files are also processed.

So if you didn't use any FCC parameters you can use this feature to avoid these kind of problems.

Hi Ravi,

It will not work for FTP adapter. How frequently you are reading files from FTP server. Try to set the ATP [Adapter availability time planning] in RWB and schedule the channel. In this way you can avoid these type of issues.

In our landscape we schedule the communication channel at 10:00 PM every day. In that time no files are placed in source directory.

Hi Ravi,

Did you find any data in that file which is there in archive folder? if so try to place this again in source directory so that it will be posted to the target correctly.

or

Try to find the file with the file name and search in archive directory. [Sometimes you can find multiple files with the same name, among one will be empty or incomplete file] and place it in source directory..

Hi,

It seems to be a weird issue. If the issue is consistent, submit an SAP ticket.

Thanks,

Kanda
