Compression of cube is failing due to "Arithmetic overflow error converting numeric to data type numeric. row 1, col -1.

Hi Guys,

when I am trying to do compression for a cube I am getting the error ""Arithmetic overflow error converting numeric to data type numeric. row 1, col -1".

Could any please help me to solve this problem. How I can compress the cube by over coming this issue.

We are using BW 7.4 version.

Hi ,

I have seen a similar issue in some other context.

The one reason for this error that I Presume is that ' You have some huge values in that particular cube. When you are trying to compress that cube, the E table needs to be updated, and at that point this overflow error is coming up.
