Non restartable messages - principal propagation

Hi,

Since one of our R3 systems is upgraded (PI_BASIS component; release 731 and SP level 0007) its not possible anymore to restart error messages in sxi_monitor in this system.

If we want to restart a message we get a popup:

"RFC destination SAPXIPPxxx does not exist".

It seems like after upgrade the R3 system Principal Propagation is standard active and cannot be deactivated anymore. Via transaction SXMS_CONF_PP it is only possible to create PIPPUSER and destination SAPXIPPxxx.

In our other R3 systems which are on a lower level (PI_BASIS component; release 702 and SP level 0008) we can activate/inactivate Principal Propagation via SXMS_CONF_PP.

We dont want to make use of Principal Propagation.

Does anyone know if its still possible to deactivate PRINCIPAL PROPAGATION in R3 system?

Or is there another solution?

Regards,

Pieter

Hello Pieter,

Did you happen to find a solution. Our ECC system was also upgraded and since then, I am not able to reprocess a failed message and getting the same error as mentioned above.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

VJ

Hi,

I created a SAP messages and this was the final answer (solution) from SAP:

Dear Customer,

Unfortunately, PP cannot be deactivated here as it is always used here for xi message processing.

If you want to deactivate it, you need to do a customer modification.
