Hi all,

By a process in webdynpro java ,documents are saved in KM documents folder. the path to a particular doc is

https://xxxx.xxx.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/Notifications/Templ.... we have some hundreds of docs  saved in the particular KM location

These links are provided to other jsp/servlet website . so that these links are maintained as hyper links in that site , but when accessing from outside world these links are not accessible .

what are authorization and authentication mechanisms to be followed to make these links accessible to out side world?

Regards

Prasad

Hi Prasad,

Have you configured your KM for anonymous access.

Please refer to the below URL which describes the same:

Configuring KM Anonymous Access - Knowledge Management & Collaboration - SCN Wiki

Please also check the permissions and the authentication scheme of the iViews.

Is the website from where you're accessing the KM docs on the same domain?

Thanks for the reply anurag .

Its from the same domain . but one site is exposed outside other is not. the KM respository site is internal other is other is exposed out side.

Can we access the above mentioned URL in question from outside portal which is built on JSP .

Hi Prasad,

In order to access the mentioned URL over Internet, you will have to expose your Portal over Internet.

You can configure SAP Web Dispatcher that will help you to access your Portal on Internet.

Let me know in case you need any additional information on Web Dispatcher.

Hi Prasad,

Make sure that you assign anonymous user in the authentication scheme of the iview and page.

Hi Ashvin,

we are not creating any iviews but just maintained the docs in KM and that links should be accessible in Java/JSP Website.

Prasad,

Then I guess you should assign permissions to security zones.

Please refer to the link below for more info:
