Sizing for ASCS

Dear Gurus.

In our landscape there are dedicated cluster for ASCS ( Central Services).

For example we have DB server ( clustered) , Primary Application Instance server and clustered ASCS.

According to quick sizer , we need 3000 SAPS fro DB and 2900 for Application Server.

Does ASCS server need be sized also or SAPS is not relevant for ASCS at all?

In case we will use one windows cluster for several CS for different applications, how such server can be sized?

Regards

Vladimir

Hi Vladimir,

how do you plan to do the installation ?

Which components are planned on Node-1 ?

Which components are planned on Node-2?

Hi

We have about 10 development systems in our landscape.

Al their ACSC/SCS instances will be but together on one clustered server.

Hi Vladimir,

Ideally for an ASCS instance a minimum of 4 GB RAM + 1 Core is good to go with as ASCS is mostly doing transfer of incoming requests to relevant free work processes.

So for 10 Development systems mathematically you can have 5 Cores + 40 GB RAM totally delivering

5000 SAPS.

This needs to be fine tuned at a later stage based on utilization of the server.
