Web Dispatcher - Permission File (Server-Routing)

Hi experts,

I am confused again.

I want to use the permission file on webdispatcher 7.4 with the following parameter.

icm/http/auth_<xx>

I've done the configuration based on this link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/de/48/3edf38c10272d2e10000000a42189c/content.htm

However, it does not really work as I would like to have it.

Thats my file

P * * * * <ip of web dispatcher server>

D /* * * * *

In my opinion, now it should work like this.
That I have only access to the web-dispatcher web pages (like web admin console), right?

But I can access all pages.

I thought the server at the end defines the target server of the SAP-System (because we are using multiple SAP-systems with one web dispatcher).

Kind regards

Hello,

how did you define the numbering for icm/HTTP/auth_<XX>? Do you have only 1 rule?

If yes, is it  "icm/HTTP/auth_00"?

Did you restart webdispatcher after defining a permission rule?

In case every settings are OK, than check the webdispatcher log, does it contain any  failure?

Hello Gabriella,

I've defined as icm/HTTP/auth_0.

First I tried with 00 instead of 0, but it seems as this didn't work - wasn't display in admin console.

Yes, I did restart the WDP.

What do you mean with only one rule?
I've more rules but only one rule-file.

Kind regards

Hi,

yes I ment only the numbering for icm/HTTP/auth_0. It seems to be Ok.

About web admin console:

The document says: "For Web applications that use an initial URL and subsequent URLs within the initial URL, two entries must be configured. For example, for the Web Admin interface subsequent URLs are generated under path /sap/admin, for example, /sap/admin/public/default.html. Therefore, entries for URI patterns /sap/admin and /sap/admin/* are required. "

Could you try to define this in the perm file?

Regards, Gabriella

I already read this.

However, my problem is, that I can access all pages and it seems that there is no restriction active.

But I've maintained this in permission file:

P * * * * <ip of web dispatcher server>

D /* * * * *

And also in the WebUi this is display in Access-Handler.

So in my opinion I should not have access to any page (excepting the WebDispatcher pages).

If I remove the P entry all pages are denied, so for me it seems as the server-value does not have any effect.
