CO month end closing activities for previous year

Hello,

Month end closing activities:

There is SAP(FI,CO,PP,MM,SD &HR) implemented 3 years back in manufacturing industry.

But there were no proper CO month end closing activities done by Business user till date. Now they want to do it in proper way.

What approach need to follow in this case.

Hi,

This situation happens to many SAP implemented companies. This happens because,lack of proper guidance and user training and one more thing I observed is resistance from the user also.

Any have we need to come across those obstacles.

As you said all the modules were implemented. So it is a good sign.

Please consider the following best practices:

• Transfer all the common cost center cost to the respective cost centers by executing the Assessment/ Distribution Cycles.

• Concentrate on closing the Production/ Processing Orders after (KO88). if you do this maximum work has been reduced because for this there are dependent activities like calculation of actual price calculation and based on that revaluation of the orders...etc

• COPA is implemented or not? If COPA implemented means if you settle the orders, variances will flow to COPA.

Any have past data is base for planning & decision making. so you must concentrate on the plan for next financial year.
