TP buffer inconsistency when doing import in SPAM

Former Member

Hi,

We're importing addons packets in SPAM. In the phase import proper it says:

"The import was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase

IMPORT_PROPER, which the Support Package Manager is unable to resolve

without your input.

After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the

import by choosing Support Package -> Import queue from the initial

screen of the Support Package Manager.

The following details help you to analyze the problem:

    -   Error in phase: IMPORT_PROPER

    -   Reason for error: TP_BUFFER_INCONSISTENCY

    -   Return code: 0008

    -   Error message: Pkgs. in queue don"t exist in the tp buffer (e.g.

        SAPKITLRE8)"

Please advice! Thanks.

M.

Hi

please check the following

1. is there enough space in DIR /usr/sap/trans

2. can you able to make new TR in the system and release it.

3. please share with the whole log from /usr/sap/trans/log for the support pack.

4. retry the import. sometimes re-import will sucessed.

Hi,

Thank you for helpful advice. We already checked 1 and 2. However, there was no log for corresponding support package in the folder, /usr/sap/trans/log.

Hi,

We resolved this problem. For some reason it helped with a server restart.

Thanks.

Is your STMS consistent?

If its not, log into the domain controller and make a change to the profile settings for the DC (eg CTC = 1 change it to 0, save, change it back to 1, save).  If you don't distribute the first change then you shouldn't have to worry about an impact to that domain, distribute the second change so the profile is updated on all the systems.
