System cannot find source storage bin ( Message L3 008)

Hi ,

During the TO creation we are getting error message as "System cannot find source storage bin" , we had checked all the option like stock , WM master settings , config  etc . This message we are receiveing for all the plants ( specific business) . we have the picking statergy user exit is active for most of the storage type ( for FIFO and other validation ) , is this error because of user exit ?

Hi,

Check your user exit.Looking at your SCV4.GIF it seems that system is unable to satisfy the criteria mentioned in the user exit and you are getting this error message

Hello Raghavendra,

For the above error, as mentioned by you If the stock exists in the warehouse and if you have

maintained the WM master settings and the Configurations related to it, then please check the storage type assigned to it in the Configuration settings of "Storage type search sequence" since if the system failed to identify the source bin means that the Storage type which is having the stock of the material is not in the storage type search strategy.
