SAP export issue to excel 2013

Hi all,

I am facing the following issue, i am trying to export a report (i.e MB52, MB5B) to an excel file and all data appear in the excel in one cell. The issue appear in excel 2013, whereas in Excel 2007 everything is ok.

any suggestions?

Dear all, issue was resolved. Proble was in the regional settings of the PC.

Hi Ali,

Hard to believe that regional settings on PC can impact download to excel functionality.

Request you to share the changes done at your end to resolve the issue.

Hi Deepak,

The selection of "list seperator" in regional settings is the setting that controls this functionality. If you put sthing different (like a comma or dot-in my PC i have the symbol ; ) then the behaivour will be different.

Dear all,

thanks for the replies. The issue appears with all standard reports that are downloaded in excel. We will try to update the Gui and we will see. As i understand there is no other solution?

Hi Ali,

SAP BW 7.3 version did had some excel incompatibilities. Try to install the higher patch levels.

Did you try saving in xls and xlsx extension ?

Save and try to open files in both extensions.

What is you sap gui level.

Try to update it.

I have tried both but nothing worked out. The Gui level is 7.3 patch 7

Hi Ali,

1) Are you facing this problem only with above 2 tcodes or other tcodes are also affected

2) share the full path you follow to download the data to excel.
