Cronacle* RFC link from Solman to CPS is not accessible for JSM Job documentation

Hello All,

While doing the Job Documentation from Solution Manager for the Jobs scheduled from Redwood 8, for the SAP Jobs, I am frequently getting this Cronacle RFC link error. I recreated the Link many times. But it is frequently giving trouble and "is inaccessible". Why is it happening? and how to overcome this ?

Is it some problem due to cluster switch ?

Please suggest.

Best Regards

Madhu

Can you please check the following steps:

  1. Create and RFC server in CPS
    • In SAPInbound tab, did you do the connection check when you created the SAPInbound in CPS? Was it successful?
    • In SAP BAE Configuration tab, did you add the client/user id details and did the connection test? was it successful?
  2. In your Solman system, go to SMGW-->GoTo-->Expert Functions-->External Security and Select Display reginfo file. If there is no entry, you can create an entry for CPS server or just add TP=* to allow all connections(If the file is not created yet, create the file from GUI by selecting Create reginfo file and edit the file at OS level.). (or)
  3. Alternate to second step, you can set the gw/acl_mode to 0 to allow connections.
  4. Now test the connection from Solution manager.

Thanks

Hi Nanda,

SAPInbound in CPS was successful.

SAP BAE Configuration tab was working.

(or) is already set to P TP=*

gw/acl_mode to 0 is already set too.

The connection was working before. but now its not working.

We think It stopped working after the cluster switch in Solution manager. But we are using virtual hostname. so cluster switch should not effect.

It again started working after we restarted the CPS system.

So now not sure where is the problem.

The question is, do we have to recreate it after every  cluster switch ? or is ther some service or something that we need to take care in such scenarios.

Is your solman on MSCS or anyother HA cluster?

Which connection string are you using in CPS SAPInbound connection? ASHOST or MSHOST?

You should use MSHOST connection string, because only message server is HA not dispatcher.

thanks
