Impact on Performance: Change of delivery class on Table

Hi All,

The delivery class on a certain table is changed to "C" making it a CONFIG table.

What impact does this change have on performance and what are the different factors that contribute to the impact if any?

Would be great if what a CONFIG table is all about.

Hi Karun,

Changing the delivery class mainly has influence on how the table data behaves in case of client copy or transports. This is well documented in the F4 help for the field in SE11/SE12.

In the blog there is a table that shows reasonable combinations for setting delivery class, data class, and table buffering.

Delivery class "C" stands for customizing table, which 'harmonizes' with data class "APPL2" (configuration data) and a buffering of the table in the SAP table buffers.

Hi

You can check the here under note that gives detailed info on the usage of delivery class.

It is related to change management and client copy, no impact on performance
