[SMP 3.0] Agentry application does not show on the front end

hi all,

I installed SMP 3.0 sp3 following the installation guide.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smp303svrigwin/helpdata/en/7c/1ff447700610149f8f9ab5944bfd31/frameset.ht...

The installation is for a development version.

Since we already have a service on 8080, the SMP detects that and moves all its ports 1 number higher as shown above. Besides that, the installation finished successfully.

I installed the certificate. Created an application, used default authentication profile, used default App specific settings, and published from the Agentry Editor 7.0 to the recommended directory. Restarted the SMP service.

However, the I cannot check the application's installation via https://hostname:8082/appname. Following is the Agentry start up log.

Note that the sub-url for the application is not there.

Did I miss any step in Application configuration in the Cockpit other than those mentioned above?

Thanks.

I dont' see the SubURL being created.  DId you take your application into a 7.0 editor and make sure the transmit configuration shows HTTPS with WebSocket?

Stephen,

After the WebSockets over HTTPS was manually selected in the connection type in Transmit Configuration, the https://hostname/appname shows "I am here!".

Strange thing is: this is the 2nd time I tried the installation. In last time's experiment, I did not remember doing this step and I did not have this issue. Anyway, thanks a lot for the help on this topic.

A side but related question, is there a comprehensive/consolidated document on Agentry application publishing/configuration in SMP 3.0.

http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.infocenter.dc01993.0300/doc/html/vhu13...

The above document still used publishing example from Agentry 5.2 era.

One detailed example I found so far is from a fellow developer

Unfortunately, it is about a SAP/Syclo application, I guess the connect type is already configured so this step is not mentioned.
