1 - Both the systems (SAP and SMTP server) should be able to communicate.

2 - The relay settings on the SMTP server should be configured as well.

Thanks RB,

so I need to do the following,

1. Need to open ports for mail communication between two servers.

2.Need to SAP IP addresses in relay server

Other than these anything needs to be done?

Thanks a lot,

Pradeep

The relay settings of the SMTP server and the connection between the SAP and the SMTP server is the most important thing. The SMTP port and the SMTP server name should be mentioned in SAP using the Tx SCOT.
