Portal nota accessible from Chrome for iPad

Former Member

Hi everybody,

I saw some other thread about this argument but in none of them the solution is very clear.

When I try to connect to my portal from Chrome on an iPad I get the following error...

Could not open iView. The iView is not compatible with your browser, operating system, or device. Contact your system administrator for more information.

I saw is an useragent problem. Does anyone knows how to fix it ? And make the portal accessible from any browser ?

Thanks,

Enrico

Hi Enrico,

This scenario can be not supported.

Please check the product availability matrix (PAM) according to your portal version.

you can find the PAM here:

Release, Upgrade & Maintenance Info | SAP Support Portal

Hi Etay,

I saw the browser is not even mentioned in the supported browser table.

But do you know if there is a way to disable the user agent check and make the portal accessible also from chrome on iPad ?

Thanks.

Enrico

Hi Enrico

1.Could you refer the SAP Note

1666862 - Allow other browsers to access the portal

2. I thing you can use the Citrix / Netapp connection on your Ipad from there you can access the portal

Hi Enrico

1. Is it your portal system single Java stack?

2. Is this any error message while importing the XML file attached in the SAP Note 1666862 ?

Yes the system is a single Java stack.

I get the 404 error when I click on the "configure portal services" link on my portal administration home page.

Hi

Thanks for your info

On the same screen select the "Transport organizer " under that you may have " XML content & Actions"  select the xml which already attached in the SAP Note
