Rafa - I usualy get this error when there's another sapinst running or a previous installation using sapinst was interrupted, canceled, or terminated unexpectedly. I would recommend checking for any active processes that is/are using that same ports and kill or cancel that process, or if in Windows, end the task(s).

Rafa - Have you tried rebooting the host yet? Such action will definitely clear any defunct processes that is holding the port. Also ping the localhost and try using the actual hostname instead.

Hi Rafa

1. Is this any issue at OS level? could you check the event viewer to find any SAP installation error messages?

2. Is this possible to do the Windows OS updates from Microsoft site

3. Could you restart the remote system where you are running the "SAPINST - nogui " & Check the port

Hi Rafa

Thanks for your info from video clips

1.  You are already installed the SAP (SID=NSP) system. in that what you planing to install?

2. When you are starting the installation on windows OS you have to select "SAPINST.exe" (not on SAPINSTGUI>EXE).

3. SAPINSTGUI used for when the OS not supported the GUI environment (like AS/400, Unix) .

In those case you can start the installation in non supported GUI OS "SAPINST -nogui"

and then in windows OS desktop you can start the "Sapinstgui -host=(Remote host name or IP where you are started the SAPinst -nogui)
