500 Internal server error

Hello All,

We are on Portal 7.02 version. We are trying to integrate forums into collaboration.We are done with all the prerequisites and created all the necessary iviews for the same. while accessing Forumsystem admin iview, after specifying the username of new admin and clicking on the set user button, we are getting  the following error

500 Internal Server Error

  Application error occurred during request processing.

  Details:   java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/jivesoftware/forum/database/DbForumFactory$DbForumFactorySingletonHolder : cannot initialize class     because prior initialization attempt

Also, When trying to access forumadmin console iview and forumuser iview we are getting the following error

Unable to initialize the application. Please check the logs for more information.

Wehave already checked NWA logs but couldnt find anything

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Hi Ritesh,

The root cause for this exception is different component level for FORUMS and KMC-UI

It is recommended to have all the components at the same SP level as per note 826256.

Just update or downgrade components to be the same version and it will work.

Hello Roman,

Thanks for your insight on this but both the components are on same SP level. please look at the following version of components.

  Forums-7.02 SP14 (1000.7.02.14.0.20130716105800)

  KMC-UI-7.02 SP14 (1000.7.02.14.0.20130716105800)

Hello Ritesh,

Kindly:

  a) Open   http://<portal_host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

  b) Save the result as...".mht" file(zip it and attach in the message)

Hi Ritesh,

Check in NWA if the application has started properly or not. If it is showing as RED, then please restart the server.

Hi

On IE11 could you define the settings and the check the same page

1. To open the IE Developer Tools press F12
2. On left side change to the options "Emulation"
3. Change the "Documents modus" to 5
4. Change the "Browser Agent" to "Internet Explorer 7"
