Dear Experts,
My question is regarding determination of default account assignment object in fi-mm postings. We have maintained default cost center for concerned cost elements for the combination of valuation area and business area.
OKB9 settings :
Cost Element Company Code (Rule: Business Area is mandatory)
xxxxx xxxx 2
VALn Area Business Area Cost Center
xxx xxx xxxx
The concerned GLs have already been maintained as cost elements. Still the system is not able to determine the default cost center for the combination of valuation area and business area from these settings.
Someone please shade light on this.

Hi Aniruddha,
Please check the cost element in KA03, if you have maintained any default cost centre for it. And also it depends on the movement type, if you are using the movement type 201, the user provides the cost centre manually. This will the priority for other settings.

Please enter the Profit centre as well and make sure that Business are a is same as Cost centre .
