Hi,

What is the difference between a work center as defined in SAP ERP and a Resource as defined in SAP ME?

Kaushik,

There no difference in data content in both Work center and Resource.

This is the SAP terminology Resource is from PP-PI area, and Work center is from Production planning (Discrete and repetitive)

Hi Kiran,

I was referring to the PP ME (Manufacturing Execution). In PP ME, we have an option of adding resources to work centers.

That's why I asked the difference between the two as Resource terminology is used in PP PI and work centers is used in PP (discrete and repetitive) as you rightly mentioned.
