Screen Painter - SE51

Hi there,

I have not used ABAP for a couple of years now and I now need to make an

amendment to one of the HR PA screens.

When I display the screen I seem to getting the old version of the screen editor

as far as I can remember:

I'm sure that when I used SE51 last time it was more of a GUI style like the one below:

Any ideas??? OR am I wrong

Upgrade your SAP GUI to the latest version and the problem will be solved.

Hi Andy,

Kindly select the following checkbox in settting.

Click Utillites -> Setting.

Select the Graphical Layout editor checkbox and click ok button.

In some case, even the above checkbox ticked also, it will show the old screen, then logoff and login again and check the particular screen. Hope it will work now.

  Hi Andy,

  1.  In the Object Navigator (transaction SE80), navigate to your program.

  2.  Open the screen you want to edit.

  3.  Choose Utilities → Settings →Screen Painter → Graphical layout editor.

  4.  Mark the checkbox.
