PR for MRP type PD

Hi,

SAP would initiate a purchase requisition  for a material item that had a MRP  type of “PD”.  This wouldhappen when the item was put on reserve against a work order by the maintenance or instrument/electrical folks.  The material type was ZMR0.

Is it possible in SAP? How? can some body give tips for this scenario?

After a reservation from a PM order is created and there is not enough stock, a purchase requisition can be generated by MRP to cover the requirement.

You may manually run MRP for this material on transaction MD03 or schedule a background job to be executed and plan all the materials of a plant using transaction MDBT.

Just make sure that the value 1 is set for the parameter "create purchase requisition" of your job variant or in MD03.
