DTW puts "inch in the item description

I did the import record the items and occurred when the description existed inches (") at the end of the text was automatically placed at the beginning of the description in the sap, the description field is text, what should I do so that this does not occur. My sap 9.0 PL 12

The solution would be called manually edit the txt file, remove inches from beginning and end of the item description?

There is no other solution?

Why do you put the DTW inches after imported into sap?

Instead of replacing all the single quotes replace the double quotes with a garbage string like !@#$%. Then replace the singles with nothing and finally replace your garbage string with single quotes. This way you remove all the incorrect quotes that Excel added in during the export to tab file and you get to your original, correct inch markers.
