How to remove BP status

In our system there are multiple statuses set as active for BPs. In the table CRM_Jest 2 statuses have the inactive feild blank.

I need to correct this by making one of them inactive.

I tried using the FM BUPA_STATUS_REMOVE, it does not allow, gives an error that status cant be removed. Please help me out here,

How can a status be set to inactive for a BP ?

Which message do you get if you remove that status in transaction BP in SAP GUI?

Hi Thomas,

I am getting error message from message class BS, No 36.

From the comments I see that it is because the status is a numbered status, hence it is not allowing to remove it or to set it inactive.

FM: CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN

Include: LCRMBSVAF0G, line no , 63

Is there any way to overcome this check ?
