Hi all,

Since I installed the SAP GUI v.730 for Windows on my Windows 8.1 Pro x64bits laptop it's imposible to print directly to the local printer.

Do you know if there is any known bug related ?

Much appreciated!

Hi Albert

1.  Can you try with full access user to check the authorization object missing or not?

2. In the end user id you can assign the transaction code SU53 after release the printout just type the SU53 is this any object are missing?

I cannot execute SP01...no access granted for that transaction code...

I will take a look to the SAP library meanwhile...

Thanks to all of you for helping me!

Hi Albert

Do you able to resolve the printing issue. If yes, how.

Because I'm also facing the similar problem with my laptop also.

No...  : (

Still the same...there must be some kind of issue regardig the Windows fiewall, because I was able to print once . Just a day where I was requested by the S.O. just to add a new rule for the FW permitting acces to the SAPLPD.exe ..  nothing else

Hi Albert,

Windows 8.1 Pro x64bits laptop it's impossible to print directly to the local printer.

First windows 8.1 is compatible to take direct print via SAP GUI latest patch .Could you please elaborate  more your issue and also confirm what printer you assigned to your SAP user to take print outs directly.

Hi Gaurav!

The assigned printer to SAP is my windows default priter . In this case a Dell 3130cn Laser PCL6 printer. No problem to print out from any other installed application , but SAP. Normally , in older versions of SAP and Windows, when I tryed to print out a report a new window ( SAP spooler) was opened for just a few seconds, then closed and the report was printed directly...now no new window is opened and nothing happens, but the status of the report is changed to "printed"

Hi Sriram!
First of all thanks a lot for your support... I read all the posts regarding compatibility with Win 8 and I have installed the latest patch level 10 , but I still have the same issue. No way to print out throw the local printer LOCL

Now the installed version on my computer is 7300.3.10.1084 on a Win8.1 Pro x64 platform.

Hi Albert,

If it was working fine with you old versions then you should patch your sapgui to latest levels.

For eg - a known issue 2035550 - SAPPDFPRINT problem with SAP GUI

is fixed by higher patches.
