How to hide Standard Collection fields?

Former Member

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement where in, I should be able to hide columns in Savings Metrics Collection, which is under Savings tab of MA.

The Class Reference for this particular collection is 1002.

We have tried to hide them via Page Customization, but no luck.

Can someone put some light on this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Vignesh

Hi Vignesh,

If you want to hide the entire collection, in Page Customization for MA, click on Add Field button and select Saving Metrics(ID:COLLN:2:1002).

If you want to hide certain columns in that collection, click on Add Table Column button and select the column you are interested in from that collection.

If you have already tried this, can you may be provide a screenshot of the Page Customization?

Hi Vikram,

Thanks for the information.

I would like to hide few fields on 1002 also.

I tried with a new Page Customization for 1002 class, but hiding is not happening.

Can we hide standard mandatory fields?

Although hiding required fields is allowed, it is not usually a good idea. You would have to have another customization to make sure these fields have been set properly otherwise you will never be able to save this document.

Hi Gary!

Thanks for the reply.

I have created a separate Page Customization for class id 1002 to hide a specific field in Savings Metrics.

Please look into the below screen.

But this is not reflecting on the UI.

I think I see where this got confused.  This particular page customization that you show will hide the field inside the UI that shows all the fields when you do add to the collection.  However, the collection itself needs a second page customization at the MA level (class 1004) where as Vikram describes, you use the add table column button and then select the proper column in the dropdown.  I just tried this and it works fine.  A little strange since you need two customizations one at class 1002 and one at class 1004.

Hi Gary,

As per your suggestion, I have created Page customizations for both 1004 and 1002, but still I am failing to hide the fields.

I am able to make them non-editable and also I am able to rename those fields, but unable to hide them.

With Vikram's reply, I am able to hide the fields from the collection, but my requirement is to hide the fields from class 1002 UI.

Hello,

This worked fine for me in my system version 9.0 SP16.  Is it possible the settings on that particular line do not match as follows:
