Install Application Server Linux with MSSQL on Windows

Dear all,

we have an ECC 6.0 EHP 6 running on Win 2008 R2 EE and MSSQL 2008 R2, with three Win 2008 R2 EE Application Servers.

I would ask you if it's possible to install an additional Application Server based on SLES 11.

Many thanks for your support,

Regards,

Claudio

Hi Claudio,

You need to check PAM for this combination.

However, as far as I can recall - DBSL for specific Linux type is available from Microsoft for this. You need to check for the current Linux's flavor support.

The installation will be heterogeneous and you can check below notes for more information.

To be precise - Linux should be of type Linux X86_64, then it is supported.
