GL Assignment to functional area

Please let me know the process of GL Assignment to functional area.

Hello Keshav

You can follow the below mentioned steps to configure the functional area determination based on the G/L Accounts.

• Go to Business Configuration work center and Implementation
  Projects view.
• Select the implementation projects and select Open Activity List.
• Open activity Settings for Income Statements by Function of Expense and
  Earned Profit Analysis.
• Select sub activity Edit functional area determination.
• Select the related Accounting Principles.
• Select Determination Using G/L Accounts
• You can assign the functional area for each G/L Account here

Hi keshav,

Create functional area using T.code OKBD or FM_FUNCTION, Use t.code SM30 and enter veiw v_001_COS Click on maintain active or preparation for your company code.Now we see functional area in G/L master.

     Once we activate cost of sales accounting is activated, we need to ensure that the functional area is active in cost center.and make sure that cost of sales accountig is active in your company code.
