Dear all,
I need to add a new cliente to my solution manager and activate solution monitoring, EWA and be able to use the MOPz for him as well.
I have the RFCs configured and working for that client.
Can someone point me to a straight forward documentation on how to do it. Mos of the documentation are not explicity.
My SLM system is:
- solman v. 7.1 SP10.
- Windows 2008 R2 EE with MS SQL Server 2008 R2 EE

Hi Nelson,
1st . Goto the target SLD and check your system entry is there
2nd Goto LMDB and check technical system is there
3rd Create product system and use verification check for correct assignation
4th. Create Logical component and check 2nd reply.
5th - Connect diagnostic agent on this system to solman using below script with user
daaadm(daaadm, when you have /usr/sap/DAA directory, other wise use the name as per SID of agent)
To connect to solution manager, login as daaadm user and run below script.
smdsetup.exe managingconf hostname:"sapms://servername" port:"81xx" user:"SMD_USER" pwd:"xxxxxxx"
Refer Diagnostics Agents - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki
5th - start doing managed system configuration and make all setup green correctly.
6th - Start doing technical motioning setup
Refer - System Monitoring - How-to Guides - Technical Operations - SCN Wiki
If I have missed anything, I will check and update, meanwhile you do this.

Hi Nelson,
As per understandings
how do i see that information sent from the satellite system on my solman
If you've maintained your system at SMP and want to sync system with SMP then under product systems just hit Read System Data Remote.Kindly confirm if i understood your query wrongly.
I need monitor that satellite system from my solman.
For this you need to setup Technical Monitoring at Solution Manager .
Please follow SAP docs at http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/download/attachments/269157890/Setup%20System%20Monitoring%20and%20Aler...

Hi,
Done, from the client system RZ70 is step is done. Now the problem is on my side, on the slm.
I can´t connect to the client system, the automatic RFC destination tool is not working is giving me this error, when i´m trying to generate it automatically.
Issue with connection to system PRD / 000: Error when opening an RFC connection (CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=17 thRc=223 CPIC program connection ended (rea).
Without this I can´t move one,
any idea please?

Hi Nelson,
Can you follow SAP Notes 722514 - Reasons for SAP-RC=223 and 532918 - RFC trace generation scenarios and if possible kindly share SM21 logs from the system.

If your system is not connected then, connect it to SLD which is connected to LMDB.
Do managed system configuration and assign logical component and put in solution.
All of the above can be found on SCN, just do a search.
