Design Studio - automate table width dependingly to the number of dimensions

Hello,

I use DS1.3 SP01 with IE11.

In my scenario from a click on a pie chart with Key Figure, I open a crosstab where a user sees some details (only characteristics).

Also, via a bottom, user can open a filter panel, in order to add some additional free characteristics to the details tab, in rows or columns, if needed.

Problem, already seen by others => no vertical scrolling seems to be available, if our tab is not large enough in design.

I don't want to specify a width to 1000(or similar), as suggested in above threads, because our user can add about 10-12 char, so without flexible width, it is not a good solution for us.

Is there anybody who tried to calculate a number of dimensions (columns), taken from a datasource, in order to pass this number as a parameter of method setWidth().

Hello Beata,

please ceck if this simple scrollable container will fulfill your requirement. it is not changing the sizes (but you can add also the size calculation for the width of PANEL_1 on top) - it is just allowing you to scroll the complete crosstab.

only what you need to do, set the width of crosstab to some bigger value.

Hi , I think you could achieve this through CSS and scripting, you can take a look at the following blog post to get some idea

Hope that's useful in some way.

Thanks,

Sorry, I wanted to say :"No horizontal scrolling seems to be available", because the vertical one exists.
