Hi Gurus,

Our one the of the client implementing PMS and Training and Event Management.

Could anyone suggest me what are the questions need to be asked in initial meeting with the client.

and if anyone has configuration documents on PMS and Training and Event management please forward to me,

For training and event management,

You need to :

  • Create Business Event Group
  • Creation of Business Event Type
  • Creating demand for event
  • Planning an event
  • Book attendee to business event
  • Firmly book an event

Create Business Event Group

• Menu Path

Use the following menu path(s) to begin this transaction:

Select Human resources   Training & Event Management   Settings   Current Settings

  S_AHR_61011889 - Business Event Group.

• Transaction Code

OOEG

Creation of Business Event Type

Prerequisite: Relevant Business Event Groups should have created

Transaction Code: OOET

Menu Path:

Select Human resources   Training & Event Management   Settings   Current Settings

  S_AHR_61011888 - Business Event Type

Creating demand for event

Select Human resources   Training & Event Management   Information system 

Reports   Business Event   S_AHR_61016220 - Business Event Demand

Plan a Event

Book attendee to business event

Now we book an employee to a business event

Select Human resources   Training & Event Management   Attendance   PV07 - Book:

Attendee List for Business Event

You can check the attendance menu from PSV1 or From Attendee

List(S_PH9_46000434)

Firmly book an event

This is required to carry out the follow up activities of the event like transfer of

qualifications/ feedback appraisal etc.

The prerequisites of PMS is OM and PA is mandatory,



PMS is just like an interaction between the manager and the employees in an enterprise, based

On his work they are going to put some rating etc.

  In the standard system employee called as AppraiseManager called as an Appraiserand Manager’s Manager called as Higher level manager “Part Appraiser “ can be a self-peer & customer they can save & provide their Comments to  the “Appraiser”

First you take the requirement form client side what are the process and how Appraisal system in client then you have to prepare one sheet like Preparation ,Planning,Process

Everyone would be able to do it if it were that simple right?

You will need to do your homework:

1. Do they have the infrastructure already?

2. Do they have the licenses figured out?

3. Version of SAP ECC and Portal if portal is in scope.

4. What are they currently using and how would the like the transition to be (standard, modified or customized)

5. What are the services from the old arch. that they would like to keep (integration points)

Client has already Implemented ESS/MSS in EHP7, they want to implement PMS and Training.


As am new to PMS and Training, if you have any config docs related to R/3 and portal please provide to me it would be a vary helpful to me.

From a config. PoV, there are not many changes between EHP4 an 7 so this document will help you.
