What is meant by SAP CRM powered by HANA ? Does it mean that for SAP CRM main backend db is HANA ?

Hi Micheal,

If for ex: SAP CRM backend is replaced by SAP HANA ,  Then

1) SAP CRM is 3 tier architecture (in application layer all logics are handled)

     but if you use SAP HANA(2 tier- logics are handled on db layer) as backend for CRM, then this combination is a 2 tier or 3 tier architecture ?

2) RIght now, the coding is abap for SAP CRM Customisation , practically developers might have used connection strings to connect to SAP CRM DB. If we migrate , should we change manually in all the customisation coding ?
