What are Z programs and what is the use and who desingns and writes the Z programs

Z programs represents programs cutomised as per client requirements and they will designed by the programers based functional consultants specifications, which will be based on clients requirements.

Hi Nivi Ram,

Yet another major use of the Z program is that - in most cases we are not allowed to make any sort of modification with the standard sap program. in such cases abapers would copy and paste the standard sap program into a custom designed z program and make necessary modifications / enhancements.

Z Programs can also be defined as the programs those do not exist in the standard SAP software. These are to be created according to the needs of the client. SAP has come out with lot of solutions for almost all the problems, yet in some cases the users requirement will be such that it wont be corresponding with the existing one. Z Programs therefore stand to define them by creating new or copy from the existing one and modify it necessarily.

Z programs are custom [programs which we can change with out any access key.

Z or Y programs are custom programs which will be created by Technical people(ABAPers) .

All program that start with Z or Y written by Customer ABAPER.

Other program that start other than Z or Y written by SAP.

Therefor, Z program write Customer ABAPER
